All Sunrise Windows are constructed using energy efficient pure virgin uPVC, which is superior to aluminum and wood in keeping your home insulated.  Designed to perform, Sunrise Windows have some of the industry’s lowest air infiltration rates. The Xi wall has an insulated value of R12.5 and utilizes 2.5 inches of Dow Styrofoam built into the wall cavity for energy efficiency.  The Xi wall is insulated including corners, studs and the top bond beam. The Xi wall is thermally insulated and completely isolated from any of the exterior elements.  The Xi meets or exceeds energy conservation requirements from both the IECC and the IRC.

Geothermal heating is a method of heating and cooling a building. It takes advantage of the natural steady warmth that is stored in the earth. It is flame-less, therefore producing no health and safety concerns as associated with fossil fuels, and it is considered a renewable energy source. Geothermal heat pumps use very little electricity, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has rated geothermal heat pumps as among the most efficient heating and cooling technologies.

Before we insulate, we make sure to go through the entire house and use caulk to fill joints between studs and voids behind outlets.  According to Energy Star, a homeowner can save up to 20 percent on heating and cooling costs just by making sure their house is sealed and insulated properly.
