Happy New Year everyone!! I hope everyone had a happy and joyous holiday season. If you haven’t heard yet, in 2009 the state of Pennsylvania passed a new law REQUIRING all new one-and-two family homes to install a sprinkler system. It affects those who hadn’t received a building permit prior to January 2011. Any home that was either started or completed prior to 2011 will be grandfathered out. The mandated addition is part of the newly adopted International Residential Code.
