5 Reasons You Need to Buy Now
Last night while opening my mail I came across an advertisement from a popular financial institution offering me a loan to purchase a new car. This piece of literature had listed 3 reasons why now is the right time to upgrade my vehicle. Now I’m certain that everyone reading this, has, at some point received something similar to this in the mail and immediately threw it away. That is what I was going to do except knowing that it was my turn to write a blog entry this month, I thought it would fit in quite well with my topic since I had already planned to talk about why now is the right time to build your dream home. Below are the three reasons they had listed as to why I should upgrade my vehicle now:
Rainwater harvesting systems do not have to be expensive or complicated. It is easy to get started with rain barrels and expand later. In fact, it is better to start with expansion in mind. As your budget and/or the cost of water increases, it is then easy to add on. Rainwater harvesting systems have 4 major and very different subsystems:
1) Capture
2) Conveyance
3) Holding
4) Distribution
One of the most sweeping new federal laws that impact contractors in all states went into effect April 2010. These regulations, established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), require that contractors, renovation builders, or home maintenance personnel undergo certification training for maintaining a lead-free painting environment when working on dwellings, schools, or child care centers built prior to 1978. So far we have been working hard for the last 16 months to comply with our jobsite manners and our own regulatory paperwork for future government auditing,
Summer has arrived and outdoor living spaces are slowly coming to life with the smell of fresh flowers, new patio furniture and embellishing, and the sounds of laughter and livelihood from families and friends enjoying each others’ company and the outdoors. The possibilities are endless with the ability to customize outdoor living space to one’s preference, and with an array of options available from the structures to the décor, it is made easy to create the look and feel each consumer desires.
During the wet part of the year you may be experiencing wet conditions at various areas in your house. While water is necessary for life, having unwanted water infiltrating your home can be hazardous and detrimental to your property.
There are a couple of different types of water that your property may have. The first type is ground water. Ground water exists below the surface at many building lots however, it’s effects may not be seen until the area is excavated and a structure is built upon it. Ground water and a building structure mixed together can create several negative effects.
It’s hard to believe it, but summer is going to be here before we know it. Soon you’ll want to spend some time relaxing by the pool recharging your mental batteries.
It may seem like common sense, but I think the most important aspect of owning a pool should be POOL SAFETY.
I always make it a point to talk to folks who are considering building a pool, that they can’t pay too much attention to Safety.
Several online sources site approx. 3,500 people die each year from accidental drowning in pools, most of which are children.
Here are some helpful things to consider before hitting the water this year.
ool season will soon be here. With this blog I intend to clear up some common myths about swimming pools. I know all of you don’t own a swimming pool, but I’m sure you have friends, family, or neighbors that do. So I hope you are able to share this with them.
Myth #1 You should run your filter system always at night time.
The truth is the best time to run your filter is during the daytime. This is when it is the hottest and the sun is out. Algae starts to form when the water isn’t circulating. Yes, I understand the electric rates are the lowest at nighttime, but you will spend more than you save trying to clear up a green pool.
High Quality Synthetic Materials for Home Exteriors. Synthetic materials such as Hardie Plank siding and PVC trim pieces mimic the look of natural materials like wood, but are much more durable and better able to withstand climate changes.
Large Format Bathroom Tiles. Smaller square tiles are being replaced with tiles measuring 12” x 12” or larger, as well as non-square shapes (12” x 18”), producing flooring and walls that showcase more tile and fewer grout lines.
Multiple Finishes on Kitchen Cabinetry. Complimentary multiple stains and a mix of painted and stained finishes on cabinetry enables homeowners to escape the look and feel of a “cookie cutter” kitchen where all surfaces match.
Happy New Year everyone!! I hope everyone had a happy and joyous holiday season. If you haven’t heard yet, in 2009 the state of Pennsylvania passed a new law REQUIRING all new one-and-two family homes to install a sprinkler system. It affects those who hadn’t received a building permit prior to January 2011. Any home that was either started or completed prior to 2011 will be grandfathered out. The mandated addition is part of the newly adopted International Residential Code.
